Isaac Freeman III, better known by his stage name Fatman Scoop, has died after collapsing on stage during a performance, reports TMZ. They have spoken to the star's tour manager, who confirms the death.

Fatman Scoop was most famous for songs like "Be faithful" from 1999 and for the song "Lose control" together with Missy Elliott, which was number three on the Billboard chart in 2005. He also participated on Mariah Carey's "It's like that" from the same year.

Fatman Scoop was performing in Hamden, Connecticut when he collapsed on stage and was taken to hospital. At 17:00 on Saturday, Swedish time, the news came that his life could not be saved. Fatman Scoop was 52 years old.
