Two men have been sentenced to prison by the Sundsvall District Court for drug offenses and extremely serious drug smuggling, reports SVT Västernorrland.
The men were arrested in February in connection with the police seizing nearly half a million classified drug tablets that the men had smuggled in via mail packages from Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
One of the men is from Västernorrland, where he runs a care home and support accommodation for people with addiction problems. During the trial, he admitted to drug offenses and transporting drugs as a courier. He is sentenced to seven years in prison.
The other man, from southern Sweden, is sentenced to four years in prison.
A third man who was charged with the same crime was fully acquitted.
