When a man on a motorcycle was asked by police to stop, he accelerated instead – and drove into a police officer. He is now being prosecuted for attempted murder, reports Hallandsposten.
The man, who is in his 40s, is also being prosecuted for aggravated drink-driving, unauthorised driving, and theft of a vehicle.
During the collision at a traffic checkpoint in Halmstad in April, the police officer sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to the newspaper's earlier reporting.
