The payment giant Klarna made a profit after tax of 216 million kronor for the third quarter, an improvement of 57 percent compared to the same period last year.
This means the second quarter in a row with a profit after years of losses during the build-up phase.
So far this year, the first three quarters, the company has made a loss of 116 million kronor. Revenues increased by 23 percent during the period, according to a press release where CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski highlights new collaborations with payment giants such as Worldpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Adyen, which are expected to drive even more revenue.
