Sales in the daily goods trade increased by 1.3 percent in February compared to the same month last year, according to a monthly index from the industry organization Svensk Dagligvaruhandel.
Calendar-adjusted – adjusted for the leap year last year – the increase was 4.9 percent.
But the increase is only partly explained by increased sales volume. Most of it is about price increases in the trade.
"Adjusted for both inflation and calendar correction, the sales trend during the month is estimated to be 1.0 percent", writes Svensk Daglivaruhandel in a press release.
