Maria Arnholm, governor of Kronoberg County, has been reported to the police for disloyalty to the principal and dereliction of duty, reports Smålandsposten.
A preliminary investigation has been initiated. We need to get a better basis for what happened and get more information to see how this should be handled, says the police's press spokesperson Robert Loeffel to the newspaper.
It is a private individual who reported Arnholm after taking part in media reporting on the governor, where it has been established that she used the county administrative board's car for private journeys. On Tuesday, the county administrative board announced that they are appointing an external investigator for the case.
Arnholm has been party secretary for the Liberals and Minister for Gender Equality in the Reinfeldt government.
