The reports are handled by the police's group for investigation of war crimes and have been submitted by both private individuals and organizations, according to Reena Devgun, team leader for the prosecutors who investigate the suspected crimes.
What we are perhaps primarily interested in, then it's about witness observations from people with a connection to Sweden who have actually been on site, she says to the radio.
A majority of the cases concern individuals who are suspected of having committed crimes in the war zone, but it also involves allegations against leading representatives.
Several investigations have been initiated, but Reena Devgun does not want to give any closer details about them and does not comment on whether there are Swedish citizens who are suspected of crimes.
Testimonies that are submitted may be used both in Sweden as well as in other countries or in international judicial bodies such as the International Criminal Court (ICC).
