Postnord is reducing the speed of its delivery vehicles to 90 kilometers per hour, reports P4 Jönköping.

The purpose is to increase the range when the vehicle fleet is converted to fossil-free alternatives.

We get to drive longer and longer, and then it's a lot about the range of the electric vehicles, says Dan Jönsson, site manager at Postnord in Jönköping.

The change has received some criticism from mail carriers who are worried that work shifts may become more stressful and that mail and packages may be delayed.

According to Dan Jönsson, however, Swedes will still receive their mail in the same way as before.

This should not affect the customer in any way, he says.
