The plan was to release the song "Do no wrong" on Friday, but now his collaboration partner is backing down.

"Even though we all love the song, it's the wrong time. We're all still mourning Liam and I want the family to be able to mourn in peace", writes Sam Pounds on X, formerly Twitter.

The former One Direction member Liam Payne died after falling from a balcony at his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16.

Payne collaborated with Sam Pounds shortly before his death and three versions of the song were planned to be released, including an a cappella version. In March, Payne's latest single "Teardrops" was released and there were plans for a new solo album when he died.
