The news still managed to spread in the area and led to seven schools and preschools in the vicinity being evacuated, according to the municipality.
"According to personnel in the activities, everything went calmly. The police were able to cancel the operation after about an hour and a half. It is likely a false alarm", writes Halmstad municipality in a press release.
The staff are now working on handling the anxiety the event has created among children and guardians.
Considering what has happened in Örebro, people are probably a bit on edge, but false alarms are never good, says Thomas Fuxborg.
