The police officer's phone number and SMS from him were found in a suspected criminal's phone. The suspect's wife had also saved the number – under the name "Baby", reports P4 Sjuhärad.
The police officer is now being prosecuted, suspected of having leaked confidential information.
He is being prosecuted for four cases of breach of confidentiality and is suspected, among other things, of having warned the suspected man about the police's whereabouts and that the man had been observed near a burglary.
