Last week, Norrköping was hit by four suspected arson attacks within three days: one on Thursday evening, one on Friday afternoon, and two during the night to Sunday.
Now, Norrköpings Tidningar writes that much suggests that the police prevented a fifth deliberate fire in the city. During the night to Monday, a 28-year-old man was arrested, suspected of preparation for aggravated arson.
What I can say is that the man was arrested in connection with a gas station, says prosecutor Tove Neumayer Arvidsson to NT.
When asked if there is a connection between the other arson cases, the prosecutor responds:
We are, of course, looking into a possible link.
The police have previously confirmed that two of the arson attacks are linked to the gang environment.
