A healthcare center in Scania is accused by Region Scania of having had 240 incorrectly listed patients, who were unaware that they had been listed there.
A control revealed that consent from the listed individuals was lacking, writes the region in a press release. Therefore, the agreement with the healthcare center has been terminated with immediate effect. The region will also report the incident to the police.
The affected individuals have now been listed back to their regular healthcare centers.
"Apart from the economic gain, patients have been listed without giving their consent. This is completely unacceptable and Region Scania never tolerates actions that risk damaging our common welfare," says the chair of the region's primary care committee, Lisa Flinth (L) in the press release.
