The Norwegian ice hockey star Mats Zuccarello suffered a real horror injury when his Minnesota met Montreal in the NHL last week.
Now the 37-year-old has operated on one of his testicles.
Poor guy got hit where the sun doesn't shine and his testicle burst, says his teammate Marcus Foligno to the radio program 93X Morning Show.
The injury occurred after Zuccarello received a hard shot between his legs. He was immediately taken off the ice. Initially, the club did not know how bad the injury actually was, despite the suspender getting a dent from the shot.
We thought he would lose a ball, but it actually survived and he has both left, says Foligno.
The star is expected to be out for 3-4 weeks.
