Seven crew members have been rescued from a burning oil tanker on the Baltic Sea off the German coast. The 73-meter-long vessel is flying the German flag and is said to have around 640 tons of oil on board.
The fire broke out on Friday morning and all seven people on board were picked up by rescue workers and taken to land.
Rescue vessels have begun fighting the fire and more resources are on their way to the area by helicopter.
When the fire started, the tanker was anchored off the coast between Kühlungsborn and Warnemünde.
