16 people are missing after an oil tanker has capsized off the coast of Oman on Monday, according to the country's marine safety center. A rescue operation to search for the boat has been initiated.
The vessel was flagged in the East African country of Comoros and had 16 crew members on board – 13 Indians and three Sri Lankans.
The vessel was en route to Yemen's port city of Aden, according to the website marinetraffic.com.
It is still unclear what caused the accident.
