During the night towards Tuesday, Shifa Hospital reported that they had received the bodies of twelve killed Gazans who were killed when Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd waiting for trucks with emergency aid coming from the Zikim border crossing in northern Gaza. It is the most important entry point for humanitarian aid to northern Gaza.
Al-Nasser Hospital reports that they have received the bodies of 16 people who were killed in connection with waiting for aid transports near the newly built Morag corridor, which the Israeli military has established between Khan Yunis and Rafah. Another person is said to have been killed in an attack on a tent in Khan Yunis, according to the hospital.
Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp has in turn received four Palestinians who were killed by Israeli fire on Wednesday near a distribution point for emergency aid run by the heavily criticized Israeli-American organization Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.
Another 13 people were killed in attacks on the Jabaliya refugee camp and in the cities of Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, according to the hospital.
Among the dead are also seven people, including a child, who died of malnutrition-related causes, according to the Ministry of Health.
The US special envoy Steve Witkoff will travel to Israel on Thursday to discuss the crisis in Gaza, says a US government representative to AFP.
