Eight people have died and five are missing since a Norwegian-owned fishing boat, Argos Georgia, sank in harsh weather about 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers) east of the Falkland Islands in the southern Atlantic.
Ten of the 27 on board were Spanish citizens, according to Spanish authorities. 14 of the crew have been rescued from the sea from lifeboats they launched on Monday, when the vessel had taken in water.
The boat is owned by Norwegian Ervik Havsfiske but was flagged in British St Helena. No Norwegians were on board.
