The Norwegian World Championship cyclist Iver Knotten has not competed since January this year.
Now the explanation comes. He got caught in a doping control.
The most important thing for me is to make it clear that I didn't do it, he says to Norwegian TV2.
Knotten, 25, got caught in a doping test after the Norwegian championships in track cycling in January. He tested positive for Ibutamoren and risks a four-year suspension.
The case is currently with Anti-Doping Norway.
The theory is that I got it through dietary supplements, says Knotten.
The chairman of the Norwegian Cycling Federation, Heidi Stenbock-Haakestad, on the incident:
It's important to clarify that no verdict has been reached yet, but this is incredibly painful and sad both for him and our sport.
