Behind the measure lies the Israeli government's decision to stop the activities. Earlier in August, Israel withdrew the diplomatic status for Norway's representatives to the Palestinian areas.
"We see the Netanyahu government's decision as extreme and unreasonable", says Norway's Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide (Ap) in a press release.
"The decision aims to hit the Palestinians and the Palestinian self-government and everyone who defends international law, the two-state solution and the Palestinians' legitimate right to self-determination", he continues.
Norway is now trying to find a solution to be able to continue its work on site and continue to support the Palestinian people, according to Barth Eide.
