North Korea has supplied Russia with around 50 artillery units, or howitzers, and around 20 rocket systems that can fire multiple rockets simultaneously. Images of the howitzers on freight cars have circulated on social media.
Last year, North Korea delivered millions of artillery shells to Russia and this year, the country has sent around 12,000 soldiers.
Michael Kofman, affiliated with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, says that North Korea's engagement is becoming increasingly deeper.
It has gone from delivering large quantities of ammunition and weapons to becoming a party in the war, and it can help Russia retake the Kursk region, says Kofman to FT.
