The American artist and producer Nile Rodgers – who received the Polar Prize earlier this year – is coming to Sweden next summer with the group he co-founded, Chic.
Rodgers turned funk and disco music into an art form with Chic, and is behind hit songs like "Le freak", "Good times" and "We are family". The multi-Grammy awarded songwriter, composer and guitarist has produced everything from Madonna's iconic "Like a virgin" and Diana Ross' "I'm coming out" to David Bowie's "Let's dance". In recent years, he has worked with, among others, Daft Punk and Beyoncé.
The artists will perform at Annexet in Stockholm on June 17.
