In the beginning of the week, spring had reached three coastal stations and now SMHI can establish that it has reached continuous coastal stretches along Skåne and Blekinge as well as the southern tip of Öland.
Now it's moving quickly forward.
It's plus degrees, quite a few of them, in large parts of Götaland and it's into day six of the seven required for spring – with a daily average above zero degrees – and it looks like it will be that way even this day, says Hilda Westberg, meteorologist at SMHI.
The fact that the coastal areas are the first out is expected, she notes.
It's often higher temperatures along the coast just because the water is warmer than the land.
