The electric car manufacturer Polestar is changing its CEO. Michael Lohscheller, previously CEO of Opel, will take over from October 1, according to a press release from the company.
"I am honored to join Polestar at such an exciting time in the company's history", he says in a comment.
Thomas Ingenlath, who has been CEO since the start, has chosen to leave, the company reports.
"Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the journey, it has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build up this brand with all of you. I wish Michael and the company good luck in Polestar's coming chapter", says Ingenlath in the press release.
Volvo Cars currently owns 18 percent of Polestar, down from around 48 percent at the beginning of the year.
