Tennis star Rafael Nadal is back in training ahead of the Olympic tournament, which kicks off on Saturday.
The 38-year-old Spaniard's participation in the Olympics was uncertain on Thursday due to a thigh injury that prevented him from training. This was announced by his coach Carlos Moya.
He had a feeling on Wednesday morning. In the afternoon, he was more limited, and before it got worse, he decided to stop, Moya told Spanish radio according to AFP.
But on Friday, Nadal was back on the tennis court, albeit with a bandaged leg, and trained together with his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz, with whom he is entered in the doubles tournament.
The Spanish duo will enter the doubles tournament on Saturday evening, where they will face Argentinians Andrés Molteni and Máximo González.
In the singles tournament, Nadal is drawn against Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in the first round, in a match scheduled for Sunday.
