It was on Wednesday that the court's chairman, Judge Göran Nilsson, was reported after questioning on the first day of the trial whether the parents of one of the deceased children should participate in the trial since they had an interpreter, which costs money.
He was reported by the parents' lawyer, Anwar Osman, who says he "has never experienced anything like it".
The district court, however, considered it not to be a matter of bias, but cancelled Wednesday's and Thursday's proceedings.
According to P4 Jönköping, the court of appeal has now concluded that it is not a matter of bias and that the judge can continue as the court's chairman. The trial will resume on Monday.
18 people have been charged in the case of the murders of the boys who were found dead in woodland areas in Nynäshamn and Upplands-Bro in July and August 2023.
