Multiple killed in attack on "safe zone"

At least eight people have been killed in an Israeli attack on al-Mawasi in southern Gaza Strip, reports Qatari Al Jazeera.

The Civil Defense in Hamas-controlled Gaza reports that several more people are trapped in the rubble after the attack.

According to Al Jazeera, it is the second attack of the day on al-Mawasi, designated by Israel as a so-called "humanitarian zone" in war-torn Gaza.
