It is becoming increasingly common for police officers to lose their jobs due to unsuitable behavior.

According to a survey conducted by Göteborgs-Posten, 73 police employees have been fired over the past five years, three times more compared to the period 2014–2018. This includes both police officers and civilian employees who have been dismissed or terminated due to personal reasons.

Among other things, it involves criminal offenses, such as when a police employee made unauthorized searches in the IT system. Another employee was dismissed after a drunk driving conviction.
