The rabbi's body was found in the United Arab Emirates, according to a statement from Israel's Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
The statement claims that Zvi Kogan was murdered. Israel calls it a "heinous anti-Semitic terrorist act".
"The State of Israel will act with all means to bring justice to the criminals responsible for his death," the statement reads.
The United Arab Emirates' Interior Ministry has arrested "the three perpetrators involved in the murder", according to a statement reported by the state-controlled news agency Wam.
After his disappearance on Thursday, Israeli media reported that Zvi Kogan was suspected of having been kidnapped or murdered, according to Israeli security services. According to the Israeli news site Ynet, his car was found in a town 15 miles from his home.
Suspicions were then directed towards Iran, which has been accused of being behind kidnappings in the United Arab Emirates in the past.
Iran's embassy in the country has, however, denied allegations of involvement in the incident.
Zvi Kogan had lived and worked in Abu Dhabi since the United Arab Emirates and Israel normalized their relations at the end of 2020.
