The alarm about the fire came to the SOS alarm in the morning on Saturday and the rescue service worked on site with a "comprehensive resource package" to get the fire under control.
After being completely engulfed, the rescue service reported a "positive downward trend" at 12:30, reports Strömstads tidning.

According to Strömstads tidning, there were no guests in the restaurant when the fire started and no one is reported to have been injured.
There is no suspect for involvement in the fire.
