At least 17 people have died and several have been injured in a bus accident in northeastern Brazil.
The bus drove off a mountain and down into a ravine in a remote forest area in the state of Alagoas, according to state governor Paulo Dantas on X.
The location is said to be difficult for rescue services to reach. On the bus were local tourists, who were on their way to a park at the top of the mountain.
The death toll was initially reported to be 23, but was later revised.
Dantas has declared three days of mourning in the state.
