Manchester United is ploughing over half a billion kronor into rebuilding its training facility.
In the meantime, the women's team is being housed in temporary barracks. Victor Nilsson Lindelöf and his teammates are instead moving into the women's current premises.
The renovation is in full swing at Carrington since Monday and the bill is expected to come in at around 650 million Swedish kronor. The work is expected to continue throughout next season.
Last year, the club invested a significant amount over 100 million kronor in a state-of-the-art facility for the women's team and academy, but it will instead be used by the men's team for the time being, according to The Guardian.
According to the newspaper, there is discontent among the women's team. A source tells The Guardian that the decision reinforces the perception that Manchester United does not prioritise its women's team.
The women's team finished fifth in the Super League last season, while the men's team finished eighth in the Premier League.
