A 45-year-old man has been arrested in Sigtuna, suspected of attempted murder after a 40-year-old woman was found injured in a flat.
It is unclear how badly injured the woman is, but she was conscious when she was taken to hospital. The police are treating the flat as a crime scene.
It's a sharp object of some kind, exactly what we'll need to take a closer look at, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
The man and woman have a close relationship with each other.
The police are now working on interviews, including with the suspected man. They have also cordoned off the flat pending a technical investigation.
