Pakistani police have arrested a man suspected of cyberterrorism. The man is accused of spreading false information on the internet that led to riots in the UK.
The man is a 32-year-old system developer, according to the police in Lahore. He is suspected of spreading false information from social media about the British teenager who is suspected of the deadly knife attack in northwestern England on July 29.
The incorrect information led to a violent mob attacking a mosque in Southport where the attack took place. Riots also broke out in several cities in the UK.
Three girls were killed in the attack in Southport.
