The four people who were detained on suspicion of murdering a 75-year-old wheelchair-bound man in Sundsvall have been released, reports Sundsvalls Tidning.
They are still involved in the investigation, but the suspicions have weakened, says Anja Steiber, press spokesperson at the Prosecution Authority, to the newspaper.
It was on Friday that a man died after ending up in the water. The suspected individuals, three men and one woman aged 45-60, were present at the scene of the incident and were arrested later.
The individuals were initially detained on probable grounds suspected of murder, but the degree of suspicion was later downgraded to reasonably suspected before they were released.
No other person is being held in custody in the case, and the investigative work continues.
