A 50-year-old man has died from his injuries after a workplace accident in Jämjö, east of Karlskrona, according to the police.
The man became trapped between a lorry and a beam during a delivery to a building market.
The man was the driver of the lorry.
The lorry door opened on the side and when that happened, the man became trapped against a beam, says Sara Andersson, press spokesperson for the police.
The accident occurred at around 2 pm on Tuesday and the man was taken to hospital by ambulance. By 7 pm, it was announced that he had died.
The police are investigating the incident.
The classification is a workplace accident, suspected work environment offence and suspected manslaughter, says Sara Andersson.
The man's relatives have been informed.
