A man in his 30s has been arrested for the double murder in Piteå, reports SVT Norrbotten.
The man, who was detained on probable cause on Saturday, has been arrested with restrictions at Luleå District Court. He denies the crime.
The man has previously been convicted of lesser crimes and, according to the Prison and Probation Service's personal investigation, has suffered from extensive mental health problems for many years and has a substance abuse problem.
It was on Friday that two men, aged 60 and 65, were found dead in a villa in Piteå.
