Boycott of goods on Ukraine's black list is foreign policy and not something that a municipality can decide on. This is stated by the Administrative Court in Malmö, which overturns Lund Municipality's boycott decision, reports Sydsvenskan.
The court refers to a ruling from the Supreme Court that dealt with the boycott of South African goods during the apartheid era.
Already when Lund's boycott decision was made by the municipal council a year ago, several politicians pointed out that the proposal could be illegal, but the decision was made with a broad majority.
