Europe's largest airline, German Lufthansa, is introducing a new fee of up to 72 euros (equivalent to over 800 kronor) to cover rising costs for fuels that produce fewer emissions.
The fee will be applied from 1 January 2025 to all departures from EU countries such as Sweden, but also if you fly with Lufthansa from the United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland.
The fee level will be determined by the flight distance involved.
