Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins was allegedly attacked with a "sharpened toilet brush" during a fight over a drug debt in prison last year.

The singer has been serving a 29-year prison sentence since 2013 for a number of sexual offenses against children, including child pornography and the rape of a baby.

According to the new book "Life behind bars in the monster mansion", Watkins has had a tough time in prison where he is "hated by many". According to the authors Jonathan Levi and Emma French, Watkins has paid a lot of money for protection.

In August 2023, he was attacked and held captive by three other inmates, after which he had to go to the hospital. Now, French and Watkins' book reveals that he was stabbed with a sharpened toilet brush after refusing to pay a drug debt of around 12,000 kronor.

In 2017, Watkins was exposed for trying to groom a new victim outside the prison. In 2019, his prison sentence was extended after he hid a mobile phone in his rectum.
