"In Linus Fellbom, Folkoperan gets an artistic director who in a special way encompasses what the 'Folkoperan spirit' is and can be, who wants to tie in with, but also add brand new aspects to the operations, its unique expression and public appeal, which next year – under Linus' leadership – celebrates 50 years", says Carolina Frände, chairman of the board for Folkoperan AB, in the press release.
Fellbom takes up the position on April 1. He succeeds Tobias Theorell, who becomes opera director at the Royal Opera.
