Ingrid Lindblad fell from shared leadership to shared sixth place in the golf major Amundi Evian Championship during the second day's play, which was interrupted.
Friday's play was stopped just before 4:30 pm due to lightning and thunderstorms. At 6 pm, the decision was made to interrupt the play entirely for the day. At that point, Lindblad, who recently turned pro, was in shared sixth place after playing 14 holes on par. Overall, the 24-year-old, who is the best Swedish player in the competition, is seven under par.
Fellow 24-year-old Japanese player Ayaka Furue, who was one stroke behind the shared lead after the first day, is now in sole leadership. Despite only managing to play 13 holes, Furue was six under par for the day when play was interrupted. In total, she is 12 under par, three strokes ahead of a duo sharing second place.
The second day's play will resume at 7:30 am on Saturday morning. This will be followed by the third round, which will be played from two different tees to speed up the game.
