Svea Court of Appeal establishes a life sentence for two men who shot dead a father of small children without any connection to criminality at a restaurant in Solna last year.
The men, aged 26 and 30, are also convicted of gross firearms offenses and attempted murder of several other people who were in the vicinity.
It was just before 10 pm on January 20 last year when the 39-year-old man came out of a restaurant with four friends. Suddenly, a masked perpetrator fired several shots at the group. The victim was hit in the head and died at the scene.
Neither he nor anyone else among the individuals has any connection to criminality, and investigations have shown that it is a case of a so-called mistaken shooting, where the killer took the wrong person.
A 27-year-old man with a connection to the criminal Foxtrot network is also convicted of aiding and abetting murder to imprisonment for five years and three months.
