The hair lock is in a locket, and is estimated to bring in between 4,000 and 6,000 kronor. The notebook, however, is expected to be worth more, believed to be sold for between 1.1 and 1.6 million kronor. The book has 76 pages full of both poetry and drafts of several of Cohen's songs, writes Billboard.
This is Leonard's only notebook in private ownership, apart from those in the Cohen family archive, and I assume they will never be available for sale, says Anjani Thomas, who long collaborated with Cohen.
The items at the auction come mainly from her, but also from Cohen's friend Aviva Layton.
Leonard Cohen died in November 2016.
