After four years of absence, Mikaela Laurén was back in the boxing ring – and won.
Now the 48-year-old is ready for a new match.
On Saturday, the welterweight boxer will fight for WBF's World Championship belt against Michaela Kotaskova, Austria.
"It's damn cool, I want to do something extraordinary and show others that age doesn't matter. I won't get a chance like this again, it's 'all in' that applies", says the Swede in a press release.
If she wins in Vienna, Laurén will become the world's oldest female World Champion in boxing.
"There are many who have won VM titles, but not as the world's oldest. It's damn cool."
Mikaela Laurén won her comeback after the first round, when Mariami Nutsubidze from Georgia threw in the towel.
