William Eklund has written a new NHL contract with San Jose, confirms the club's general manager Mike Grier.
The new agreement, where Eklund sextuples his salary, begins when his rookie contract expires before the 2026–2027 season.
The 22-year-old signs a three-year contract worth approximately 160 million kronor.
Last season, Eklund made 58 points in 77 matches in San Jose. He joined the club from Djurgården in 2022.
William Eklund's little brother Victor Eklund was drafted by New York Islanders last week in the first round of the NHL draft.
