SVT's Midsummer celebration becomes a tribute to Lasse Berghagen.
Cousin Mattias Berghagen leads the musical entertainment "An Evening in June".
Lasse Berghagen was Mattias Berghagen's uncle. Now he gathers the artists Sonja Aldén, Bengan Jansson, and Trio Lila on Midsummer Eve for a musical tribute, on 21 June.
"Growing up with Larsan in the family has of course affected me, our shared summers and Christmases, for example. As adults, we had a fine buddy relationship. We've hung out a lot when we've gone fishing and played golf", says Mattias Berghagen in a press release.
The music during the evening will exclusively be songs written by Lasse Berghagen. Apart from "An Evening in June", which has become the title of the programme, also folk-beloved melodies like "Teddy Bear Fredriksson", "My Love Song to You", and "Stockholm in My Heart".
Lasse Berghagen passed away last October, 78 years old.
