"You never know when it ends and it's rarely a decision you can control yourself, so I want to thank for everything music has given me while I still have the opportunity to do so", says Kikki Danielsson in a press release.

During the tour, which starts in Växjö on October 8, she will sing songs from her entire career. On stage, the artist will be accompanied by The Midnight Sunshine Band and her longtime companion Sören "Sulo" Karlsson, who has also helped her to select the songs.

"Sulo and I have gone through the song material and there are quite a few songs to choose from when you've been doing it as long as I have", says Kikki Danielsson.

Kikki Danielsson sang already as a child and debuted in the late 1960s as a dansband singer. For many years, she sang with Wizex and in 1978, she competed with the band and Lasse Holm in Melodifestivalen with the song "Miss Decibel".

All in all, she has competed in Melodifestivalen nine times as an artist and won twice, with Chips and "Dag efter dag" in 1982 and "Bra vibrationer" in 1985. In Eurovision, "Bra vibrationer" came in third place.

Kikki Danielsson has also made a name for herself as a country singer and recorded, among other things, the album "Midnight sunshine" in Nashville in 1984.

"The longing and need to sing will probably always remain, but maybe it will be in much smaller contexts in the future. In the worst case, I'll have to sing in the shower like everyone else", says Kikki Danielsson.
