Yesterday, Kent performed their farewell concert at the 3 Arena in Stockholm. But the Kent fever is not over. Now, Spotify has let a new generation of artists create reinterpretations of the band's music.
The producer, songwriter, and artist Inomi, who like Kent grew up in Eskilstuna, interprets "Falska profeter" from the album "Då som nu för alltid".
The trio Svart Ridå from Ronneby has made a name for themselves with emotional indie rock. They are doing a reinterpretation of one of the band's most well-known songs "Om du var här" from the album "Isola".
"Our relationship with Kent began at a young age. We remember dancing to 'Sundance Kid' at middle school discos", say the members of Svart Ridå in a press release.
The songs, which are part of the studio project that Spotify has had since 2018, are being released today.
