The album, which is called "Is this what we want?", is completely silent as it is a protest against proposed changes to the copyright law regarding AI.
The British government's proposal would mean that AI companies can use artists' life's work for free, according to The Independent.
Artists such as Billy Ocean, The Clash, Jamiroquai, Imogen Heap and a number of composers and conductors are participating on "Is this what we want?".
The tracks consist of recordings in empty music studios – which could be the consequence if the proposal goes through, the artists believe.
